Justin drove all the way from northern Missouri to come down to Venice and get abused, both by me regarding his new nickname and by this 100+# yellowfin. We saw plenty tunafish, but could only get a few blackfins on the popper. Finally, after waiting patiently all day long, we got into a good mid-afternoon bite. In addition to Justin’s tuna, we had 5 other nice yellowfin, some blackfins, and even a bonus late-season 25# bull dolphin. Add to that several leatherback turtle sightings and you end up with a great day offshore for the boys from Missouri.
